Tandridge District Council have given the go ahead for 45 homes to be built on green belt land.

Open paddock land near Warlingham is now going to be developed and turned into the housing estate.

Concerns had been raised about substantial harm to the green belt, including highway safety and flooding.

After considering the options a quantity of councillors gave the go ahead for the scheme, as they feared if they refused the application then a lengthy appeal process would be wasting taxpayers’ money.
