Voting Comes to Whyteleafe and Caterham Valley

On Thursday 16 October, eligible residents in Whyteleafe will vote for their new district councillor. Voters in both Caterham Valley and Whyteleafe will also elect a county councillor to represent them.

If you are eligible to vote and haven’t yet registered, you must do so by Tuesday 30 September.

Voting options

Poll cards

Poll cards will be arriving this week.

  • They show where your polling station is.
  • If you’ve registered for a postal vote, they confirm the details.
  • Cards are now larger because they include information about the need to bring photo ID.
  • You don’t need to bring the card to the polling station.

Polling stations

On Thursday 16 October, polling stations will be open from 7am-10pm. Addresses are on the Council’s website and on your poll card.

Don’t forget your photo ID

You must bring photo ID, such as your photo driving licence or passport, to vote at your polling station. Without it you cannot vote.

If you don’t have photo ID, apply for a Voter Authority Certificate by 5pm on Wednesday 8 October.

Election results

The results will be published on the Council’s website on Friday 17 October, in the afternoon.

More information about these elections can be found on the elections webpage.
