Going Going Gone for Gum in Dorking

Residents in Dorking should soon see less deposits of chewing gum on the streets after Mole Valley District Council received £7,000 from the National Chewing Gum Task Force to clean up the area.

Signs will also be put up to try and discourage gum littering in the future.

The task force, which is now in its fourth year, works with councils across the UK to deal with the national issue.

It was established by the government and is run by Keep Britain Tidy.
