West Sussex County Council has secured over £182.m of Government funding to help deliver better outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
It follows the Department for Education’s approval of the local SEND Reform Plan created jointly by the county council and NHS Surrey and Sussex.
90% of the grant will cover a deficit created by the cost of delivering SEND support in West Sussex being greater than the ring-fenced funding the council receives from the government.
