The Liberal Democrats won all six of the local council by-elections that took place in Surrey last week.
The party retained the seats they already held in the Caterham Valley division at Surrey County Council, and the wards of Meadvale and St John’s at Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, and Whyteleafe at Tandridge District Council; the Lib Dems made gains in the West of Surrey.
Reform UK came second in Caterham Valley and Whyteleafe. The Green Party were in second place in Meadvale and St John’s.
There will be further by-elections on 6th November when residents in the Lingfield, Crowhurst and Tandridge Ward, and Westway Ward will vote for a new district councillor.
