Chris Smith

Chris Smith Joins SUSY Radio in 2024 to present a country music extravaganza every Wednesday evening from 7pm.

Chris’s involvement in country music began at the start of this century when he worked at Ritz 1035am in London as part of the backroom team. He has since presented specialist country shows on hospital radio and other community radio stations in London and the South. Chris also writes and reviews new releases for Country Music People magazine and is proud to be considered a member of the Ameripolitan family in the USA.

Ameripolitan is a term coined by country star Dale Watson who founded a movement which has the watchword “If the door to opportunity doesn’t open, build a new door”. Ameripolitan promotes talent in the fields of Honky Tonk, Western Swing, Outlaw Country and Rockabilly; Chris regularly attends the organization’s Awards weekend each February and his contacts there ensure he receives the latest releases from these amazingly talented artists who may not yet have a British fan base.

Of his new show for SUSY Radio, Chris says, “I have a very broad taste in country music old and new, so listeners can expect a range of excellent music.”

Chris has recently published his first novel through Amazon. “Three Wives & The Truth” is the amusing tale of fictional country music superstar Billy Knox and has already received some excellent reviews.

You like authentic country music? Join Chris on Wednesday evenings at 7pm.
