In the Premier League, Crystal Palace gave Chelsea a real fright at Stamford Bridge.  Despite losing 2 – 1 to the Blues, the Eagles had many chances on goal which stretched keeper Petr Chec and new manager Tony Pulis was buoyed by his team’s efforts.

It was 2 all in league one as Crawley Town managed to claw back  a 2 – 0 deficit with an injury time goal against Preston North End at the Broadfield Stadium.

There were goals galore at Kiln Brow as Redhill played out a thrilling 4 all draw with Eastbourne Town.
