Man found guilty of flytipping

A Croydon man pleaded guilty to flytipping at Redhill Magistrates court on Wednesday (July 1st).

Warren Munday, of Davidson Road was fined £550 and ordered to pay council costs of £395 and £20 to the victim support fund.

Furniture, clothing, household items and personal papers were dumped at Salmons Lane, Whyteleafe and The Approach Road, Tatsfield between 11 June and 12 June last year.

The Council’s Waste Enforcement Officer found contact details in the waste for a property in Ninehams Gardens, Caterham.

The owner told the council that Mr Munday had been employed to get rid of the rubbish.

Residents can help by making sure anyone who collects waste from their home is properly licensed. The Environment Agency has a public register of waste carriers on its website www.gov.uk/find-registered-waste-carrier or call 03708 506 506.
