Junior Road Safety Officers in West Sussex

Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) across West Sussex are helping to make journeys to and from school safer and more enjoyable.

West Sussex County Council’s JRSO programme is an excellent way for pupils to get involved with their local school communities by promoting safe travel to their peers.

A JRSO’s duties go from designing posters to being the link between the school and the County Council’s Safer Routes to School Team.

As well as promoting road safety the scheme also enables pupils to develop their leadership and creative skills.

If anyone in your family is interested in joining, there are more details on West Sussex County Council’s website where you can download the JRSO Handbook.
