Woman to go before Redhill Magistrates Court charged with fraud

A woman has been bailed to appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court in Redhill in connection with a fraud offence.

The 46 year old has been charged with six counts of fraud by false representation.

It follows an incident where an 83 year-old victim received a call purporting to be a bank official, requesting confidential information.

A courier was sent to the victim’s property to collect her bank card and almost £3000 was taken from the account over the following days.
