Bewbush Fight Sentencing

Four people from Crawley have been sentenced following a fight at Bewbush Community Park in the town last year.

Doris Robertson, of St Aubins Close, Broadfield; her sons Hansley, and Kenny Robertson and a 17-year old boy appeared at Lewes Crown Court last Thursday (19 November).

The Robertsons all received suspended jail sentences for various offences including violent disorder and the boy was required to attend a youth work project, was also given a 14 months Youth Rehabilitation Order and was ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work.

A police spokesman said that the incident resulted from a series of local disputes but that Bewbush remained largely a safe neighbourhood.
