Football Update

Crawley Town enjoyed a second League 2 win in three games, winning 2-0 against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road on Saturday.

In the Ryman Premier Division, Merstham won 2-1 at home to Havant and Waterlooville.

In the FA Trophy, South Park drew 1-1 at home to North Leigh.  

It was bad news for our local teams in the Ryman South; Horsham dropped two places to 15th after losing 2-1 at home to Ramsgate.  East Grinstead move down to 19th after losing 3-1 at home to Lewes, and Three Bridges remain second from bottom after losing 4-1 at home to Carshalton Athletic.

Elsewhere though, it’s now seven wins in a row for Redhill who beat Ash United 6-0 at Kiln Brow.  Horley Town lost 2-1 away to Badshot Lea.

Football Update

Crawley Town suffered a fourth successive away defeat in League Two, losing 5-0 to Yeovil at Huish Park on Saturday.

Merstham lost their Ryman Premier League match 1-0 away to Harrow Borough.

In the Ryman South, Three Bridges hosted a local derby match against South Park. South Park won 4-0, taking them to 12th place. One place behind them in 13th place, Horsham lost 3-0 away to Walton Casuals.  East Grinstead lost their home match, 3-2 to Hythe Town.

Elsewhere it was six league wins in a row for Redhill who won 3-1 away to Staines Lammas; all three goals coming from Kieran Campbell on his debut, and all in the first half.

Horley Town’s run of eight games unbeaten ended after they lost 2-1 at home to second place Westfield.

Yeovil v Crawley Town FC

Crawley Town’s League 2 game against Yeovil Town at Huish Park which was postponed on 22nd November, has been rearranged for tomorrow.  

Tickets bought in advance for the fixture will be valid.  If you can’t make the new date and have purchased a ticket, Yeovil box office will arrange a refund.  

Kick off is at 3 o’clock.

Victory for Crawley Wasps LFC

Crawley Wasps Ladies’ Football Club scored 10 goals on Sunday in their home match against Aylesford.  Suzanne Davies scored a hat-trick as Wasps went seven nil up at half time.  A late own goal saw them equal last month’s ten nil victory over Herne Bay.

Wasps move back into second place in the London and South East Premier Division, two points behind Leyton Orient.
