Election

It was a long night for General Election candidates in the Susy Area with the final results not being known until just after 5am
In Surrey East, Sam Gyimah was returned with a majority of nearly 23,000 over second placed UKIP candidate Helena Windsor.

Meanwhile in Reigate, Crispin Blunt was victorious with a majority of over 22,000 votes over his nearest rival Joseph Fox of UKIP

And in Crawley, despite a strong challenge from Labour’s Chris Oxlade, Henry Smith held on to his seat for the Conservatives with a majority of just over six thousand.

The results of local council elections being run alongside the general election may not be fully known until tomorrow and we’ll bring you these results on Monday.
