Rural Crimes Across Surrey are said to be on the Rise

The Chairman of the National Farmers Union Redhill branch has said that rural crime across the county has become more intense over recent months.

Andrew Compton says he’s experienced varying forms of illegality, including fly tipping, stolen property and livestock worrying.

He feels there needs to be a root and branch shake up of the county’s police to rural crime.

Rural Crime Inspector for Surrey Police Darren Benge said, “We are determined to find solutions that will make Surrey a safer place for our rural community to live and work”.
