A22 Road Works

Following the severe flooding in the Winter of 2013/2014, Surrey County Council’s been awarded £4.5million to improve the resilience of the A22 from the Croydon boundary to the A25 Oxted roundabout.

The project started last Monday (8 June) and within the next two weeks, drainage investigation works will start at the Wapses Lodge roundabout, along with the cleaning out all of the road gullies at that location.

This work will be carried out before resurfacing can take place.

Surrey is currently planning to close the A22 overnight during the school summer holidays to carry out the resurfacing work.

Advance Warning Signs will be going up at Wapses Lodge roundabout in the next few days.

Further information will be available on the www.surreycc.gov.uk/roadworks,or please call Surrey County Council Contact Centre on 0300 200 1003.
