A consultant specialist care dentist based in Redhill has won an award.

Mili Doshi, who works at East SUrrey Hospital, was named NHS Innovator of the Year at the Kent, Surrey, SUssex NHS Leadership Recognition Awards 2015.

Mili has been leading a Mouth Care Matters programme which has seen the introduction of specialists to East Surrey Hospital to train staff on good mouth care. They can the, in turn, assist patients during their stay.

The programme will be introduced into hospitals across the south east of England over the next year. Discussions are also underway for a national roll-out too.
