Foreign student robbed in Horsham Park

An appeal has been launched for witnesses to come forward after a foreign exchange student was robbed in Horsham.

The 17 year-old was assaulted and had his bag stolen while he was walking through Horsham Park Friday afternoon shortly before six o’clock.

Five teenage boys approached the student.  They demanded his mobile phone then took his bag after hitting him around the head with a belt.  He was also punched.

One of the suspects is described as a white, aged 17, 5′ 9″, of skinny build and had a small amount of facial hair. Another suspect is described as being black, aged 17, and 5′ 10″.

The suspects ran off in the direction of the underpass and it is believed the white suspect was seen running near Boots carrying a bag.
