Surrey bucked the national trend in the EU Referendum results, with 52.2% voting to remain and 47.8% voting to leave.  Reigate and Banstead, Tandridge, Runnymede, Spelthorne and Surrey Heath all voted to leave the EU and the six other Surrey districts and boroughs voted to remain.  Tandridge saw a particularly high turnout of 80.3%.

Most areas of Sussex including Crawley voted to Leave the European Union.  Just Horsham, Mid Sussex and Lewes voted to Remain.  It was a narrow victory for Sussex overall with 50.23% voting to Leave and 49.77% wanting to remain.
