Cyclists and motorists are urged to take their safety seriously this summer, as the number of cyclists on the roads increases during the drier months.  

Drive SMART is a joint initiative between Surrey County Council and Surrey Police.  Surrey County Council figures from 2014 show that one in five accidents involving cyclists, happens at a junction. The campaign emphasises that this is an area where both motorists and cyclists need to be more aware of each other.
