Southern Rail facing legal action

Southern Rail is facing legal action over its threats to withhold holiday pay from those involved in strikes.

The RMT says its been advised by its lawyers there is a case against the company – stating Southern is in breach of legislation.

A spokesman for the train provider says they feel they cannot make the payments to conductors currently involved in strikes, as it’s causing “misery and hardship” to travellers.  However, they do plan to pay whats owed once the industrial action is over.
