100 were arrested in Surrey over the festive period for drink or drug driving, half of which have already been charged.
Police carried out dedicated patrols through December as part of their ‘Go Cold Turkey’ campaign, which ran until the start of this year.
It also encouraged drivers there’s no ‘safe’ limit when getting behind the wheel.
