Surrey’s pothole-proof roads on course to save money

Surrey County Council claims to be on course to save £14 million with pothole-proof roads.

‘Operation Horizon’ started back in 2013 and has already reconstructed 250 miles of road.

Surfaces replaced through the project are covered by a 10-year repair warranty.

Better deals and improved recycling of materials through this operation has so far saved the county council over £11 million.
