More than 850,000 people in Surrey are registered to take part in today’s local elections.

Voting is taking place across the UK, with polling stations open from 7 am this morning until 10 pm tonight.

Results are expected to come through the night and early hours of tomorrow morning, with most being declared tomorrow.
