Seven people have been arrested following a kidnap attempt in Crawley.  

A man was assaulted and forced into a car in Broadfield on Wednesday evening.  Four young men carrying baseball bats got out of a car and assaulted a young Asian man before forcing him into the vehicle and driving off.  The car was a dark purple or black hatchback possibly a Ford Ka or a Vauxhall Corsa.  It drove off towards the football stadium.  

Police later arrested five men and two women at an address in Tilgate on suspicion of kidnap, and possessing drugs with intent to supply.
