Surrey and Sussex police have issued some advice prior to Hallowe’en.  

They ask trick or treaters to “be careful who you scare” and consider the elderly and more vulnerable in the community who may find having strangers call at their door a frightening and intimidating experience.  

Two downloadable posters are available from the police websites; one to deter unwanted trick or treaters, and another for those who do want to take part in Hallowe’en celebrations.
