Redhill Pub Plans

Plans to convert the oldest pub in Redhill into houses and flats have been submitted to Reigate and Banstead Council.

The White Lion closed with just a week’s notice in September, with beer being sold off for £1.50 a pint.

The 16th century establishment was sold by Greene King to Aaliyah Developments.

The developer says it’s no longer economically viable as a pub, and aims to convert the Grade II listed building into five properties.
