Redhill Man Behind Bars For Drugs Offences

A man from Redhill is behind bars for 20 months after being found guilty of drug offences.

Darnell Smith was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £149 when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court last week.

Police officers searched Smith after he was seen acting suspiciously in Woodhatch last December and found two “burner” mobile phones and a quantity of cash.  A search of the area uncovered seven bags of cocaine. Forensic evidence from the mobile phone showed a number of messages suggesting he was involved in drug supply.
