A police officer’s been spat at by a woman claiming to have coronavirus in Crawley.

It happened on Sunday night while she was being arrested in relation to a domestic related assault.

The woman’s now in custody with police saying they’ll seek ‘the most appropriate outcome to such a vile act.’
