A taxi driver has been assaulted during a Crawley cab journey.

The attack happened in the evening of Monday 27th April.

The taxi driver picked up two women and a man in Basildon Way, Bewbush, just after 9pm and during the drive towards Crawley, the driver was punched in the face and the vehicle was stopped in the Byrd Road area where the three passengers ran off

Both of the women were described as being between 18 and 22-years old, white, around 5ft 6ins, of slim build and with blonde hair.

Anyone who witnessed the assault is urged to call 101.
