BA Boss says he does see a future at Gatwick

BA’s boss, Willie Walsh, says he’d like to think the airline will be operating out of Gatwick in the future, despite a staff memo saying it may not resume flying from the airport after the pandemic.

Mr Walsh went on to say he likes Gatwick and thinks it’s a “better airport than Heathrow in many ways”.

It comes as Crawley MP, Henry Smith, has led calls from West Sussex MPs in a letter to the PM urging for support for the aviation industry.
