600 jobs to go at Gatwick

600 jobs are to be axed at Gatwick Airport as the company announces significant restructuring.

The proposed plans hope to allow the airport to respond quickly to future growth following the dramatic impact of COVID-19.

In August, passenger numbers are over 80% down compared to the same month last year.

The new proposals could result in the airport losing 24% of the current number of employees.
