And Reigate and Banstead Council has paid tribute to Horley Councillor Derek Allcard who passed away last Monday.

Cllr Allcard was first elected in 2015 to represent the South Park and Woodhatch Ward, and was re-elected last year to the Horley East and Salfords Ward following boundary changes.

He lived in the borough for over 18 years and, before retirement, was an engineer.

The Mayor of Reigate & Banstead, Cllr Rosemary Absalom described him as an  exceptional councillor.
