Coronavirus cases rise in Surrey

As the coronavirus official death toll figures reach nearly forty-two thousand across the country, data released on Sunday show another seventeen cases were recorded in surrey over the previous 24 hours.

Reigate and Banstead currently have 887 cases, whereas Tandridge is 377.

Yesterday the Health Secretary Matt Hancock said there was a danger the numbers could “shoot through the roof” unless effective action was taken to halt the spread of the virus. His warning came as the Government announced anyone in England who refuses an order to self-isolate could face a fine of up to £10,000.
