More Gatwick staff on furlough as BA grounds flights

‘Many more’ staff are to be furloughed at Gatwick as BA suspends all flights from the airport.

A letter to staff seen by Sky News says the new restrictions are a, ‘blow to our hope of a winter season.’

The carrier, who’s owner IAG lost £5.1bn in the first nine months of this year, is reducing its operations across the UK but will fly people back from overseas and maintain essential cargo.
