A new fire station and training centre in Horsham was due to go before the county Council’s planning committee today. 

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s proposed new facility will be on land off the A24 at Highwood Mill.  It will include training buildings, car parking, landscaping and emergency access onto the A24. 

Most of the site had previously been identified as development land for a new fire station with outline planning permission approved by Horsham District Council.
