Passenger Drop-Off Charges Come Into Force at Gatwick Airport

A new charge for passenger drop-offs at Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal comes into effect today.

It will apply to all vehicles except for passengers holding a Blue Badge, and staff employed on the airport campus.  The £5 charge allows vehicles 10 minutes in the drop off zone with a further pound for every additional minute up to 20 minutes.

The charge will also be introduced at the South Terminal forecourt on 12 April, in preparation for the restart of international travel.

This will create a new revenue stream to help the airport preserve jobs and recover, following the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Free parking is available at the airport’s long stay car parks.
