Funding for Surrey’s Roads

Over £6m of additional funding is being dedicated across Surrey to improving highway networks.

A range of improvements are to be made, including road safety around schools, making walking and cycling safer, and tackling well known collision hot spots.

The work will commence across the county over the next three years.

The additional funding comes from the council’s medium term ‘capital’ budget and is an extra commitment on top of the £62m the Council is spending on the Highways.
