Funding for Tandridge Residents on Low Incomes

On Monday 18 September, from 10am, Tandridge Borough Council are inviting residents with low incomes to apply online for a small grant from the Tandridge Household Support Fund to help ease the financial pressures they may be facing.

The government funding is limited so residents should apply as soon as possible as we will close the application process when all the money has been allocated. Residents can apply even if they have received a grant from this fund before.

Eligible households with children will receive £350 and households without children will receive £150.

The Tandridge Household Support Fund webpage has details about:

  • Who can apply.
  • How you apply.
  • What financial information must be submitted.
  • How payments will be made.

The Westway Centre in Caterham and Citizens Advice can complete online applications for residents who don’t have access to the internet and local libraries have computers the public can use. Residents can apply by calling the Council on 01883 722000. They may be placed in a queue if we experience a high number of calls.

Councillor Catherine Sayer, Leader of the Council, said: “The fund aims to support households most in need as a result of the large rise in the cost of living. If you have any friends, family or neighbours in the district who may be struggling financially, please let them know about these grants.

For anyone missing out this time round because the fund has closed by the time you apply, there will be another chance in the second phase which starts on Monday 11 December at 10am”.
