Redhill-Tonbridge rail line closed for safety inspection

Engineers are due to assess the site of a landslip on a rail line linking Kent and Surrey which is closed.

The line between Redhill and Tonbridge had to close on 29 March due to a “safety inspection” of the track.

Network Rail has said the landslip happened in the Edenbridge area, although they have not said exactly where.

They added that they are “hopeful” the line will be closed for two weeks, but it could be closed for longer.
