Driver arrested for going wrong way on A3

It’s been discovered that an unaccompanied learner driver was reportedly seen reversing on the A3, having missed the M25 slip road recently.

When Surrey police stopped the driver, it’s said they lied about their name.

Officers then discovered they didn’t have a full licence or insurance.

Due to the driver being an unsupervised learner, the car was seized, and they were reported to court for various offences.

Veronika and Tatyana arrived in the UK on Thursday to stay with a sponsor family as part of the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme, having arrived with just one case and a push chair.

‘Stripey Stork’ has been helping families across the county since it was formed in 2013.

The charity said on Twitter more than 700 families had been matched in Surrey so far.

Founder and chief executive Nicola Dawes said it made their day when Veronika “blew us a kiss as she left.”
