October’s final show of the year sees David, Tim and Andy Tharp looking back at a memorable season, while captain Jack Bellars and senior cricketer Chris Walker from South Nutfield receive their OTFF Club of the Year award.

The Archway Theatre: A Day in the Death of Joe Egg

A Day in the Death of Joe Egg is the latest production at the Archway Theatre in Horley.

The play is based on writer Peter Nichols’ own experience of raising a handicapped child.

In this adaptation a couple uses black comedy to get them through the stress of taking care of their severely disabled son.

The play is directed by Joseph Booton who joined presenter Annie Whitmore to chat about his directing debut.

September’s ‘On The Front Foot’ features an extended discussion between Tim, David and guest pundit Andy Tharp about the Ashes, county cricket, and the end of the local league season; while Surrey Slam organiser Matt Camp reports on this season’s expanded competitions, and plans to extend into Sussex for 2020.

The Afternoon Stroll Cricket Roundup: Week 19

Week 19 brings the Susy Cricket Season to a close. South Nutfield go to another Slam finals Day; the Llamas finish 2nd and Banstead 3rd in the Surrey Premiership; CCW are promoted as champions from Surrey D2, as are Outwood 2s from KCVL D6; but sadly, Merstham’s struggles end with a return to the Surrey County League next year.

The Afternoon Stroll Cricket Roundup: Week 18

With only the Surrey Championship and the Kent County Village League to be completed, week 18’s roundup unravels the final positions of our local clubs in the other leagues. Roffey, Horley 2s, CCW and South Nutfield are all champions. Horley 1s and Outwood 2s are promoted. Sadly there’s the odd relegation, too.
