Week Eleven’s local league cricket is rather outshone by the afterglow of England’s World Cup triumph: but Ashley Middleton makes 165 not out as Outwood crush Meopham, and Rilwan Mohammed takes 6-11, including the hat trick, as Crawley Eagles bowl out Rottingdean for 36 in 13.1 overs.

Week ten of league cricket sees one or two successful sides falter, but Newdigate beat the table-toppers, South Nutfield and Reigate Priory sail on, there’s a maiden club hundred for Dru Tunstall at Outwood, and another big milestone’s passed at Horley, this time by Deepal Ahangama who’s in town from Sri Lanka.
