Man seriously injured after hitting barrier on M25

A man is in hospital with serious injuries following an accident on the M25.

His car hit a street light before colliding with the central reservation barrier just after Junction 7 clockwise at around 2 am on Monday morning.

Two lanes were closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and an air ambulance took the two people in the vehicle to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

Man stabbed in Copthorne

A man was stabbed outside a village shop in Copthorne last Friday (19th May) 

The 38-year-old was attacked with a baseball bat and knife and chased along Copthorne Bank towards the Prince Albert pub before the attackers left in a black 4×4.

He was taken to East Surrey Hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

 

Gatwick plane evacuated due to suspicious white powder

An easyjet flight at Gatwick was delayed yesterday (23rd May) after a suspicious white powder was found on board.

The plane was evacuated around 10:30 am so Police could investigate the substance in the overhead locker.

Passengers reboarded and carried on their journey to Pula in Croatia four hours later after it was declared harmless by security services.

Crawley Town’s new head coach announced

Former Australian international and ex-Liverpool player Harry Kewall is Crawley Town’s new head coach.

The 38-year-old is joined by new Assistant Coach Warren Feeney.

Directors at the club say the appointments bring leadership, professionalism and experience.

Kewall’s long career includes PFA Young Player of the Year in 2000, being the first Australian to play in the Champion’s League Final and winning the FA Cup with Liverpool in 2006.
