The 20th P&G Surrey Youth Games took place over the weekend at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.  All eleven districts and boroughs in Surrey entered teams into fourteen different sporting events.  The Games were organised by Active Surrey in association with each borough and district council in the county with the aim to develop sport in Surrey.  Young people attend local coaching sessions in the two months prior to the Games.  It is hoped that having been introduced to countywide competition, many will continue in their chosen sports.

Redhill Football Club is holding trials for the new Sunday team which will be introduced for the next season.  

The trials will take place on The Ring at Earlswood Common on Sunday 10th July from 11 o’clock until 12.30 pm.

Crawley Town Football has signed an new midfielder to the club.

Woking Midfielder, Chris Arthur has joined the reds on a one year contract with the option of a further year.

The 26-year-old, made 37 league appearances for the Cards last season,.

Arthur, who has previously had spells at Northampton and AFC Wimbledon, becomes Crawley’s seventh signing of the close season.

Crawley Town football has signed on a new player to the the team.

The Reds have signed goalkeeper Yusuf Mersin from Turkish top-tier side Kasimpasa on a two-year contract.

The 21-year-old, who has represented Turkey at Under-17 and Under-18 level, has spent time in the youth set-ups of Millwall and Liverpool.

Mersin is the League Two club’s sixth signing of the summer.

Crawley Town striker, Matt Harrold has signed a new one-year contract with the club.  Matt missed the end of last season because of knee surgery but scored nine goals, making him the Reds’ joint leading scorer with Rhys Murphy.
