Susy 103.4 Celebrates the first five years

This weekend Susy Radio 103.4 celebrated 5 years of broadcasting as a Community Radio FM station for East Surrey and North West Sussex after a previous 19 years of providing restricted service licence broadcasts. There’s more to celebrate as late last year Ofcom confirmed that Susy Radio’s licence would be renewed and this new five year licence came into effect at midday on the 15th July.

To celebrate Susy regulars Tim Bowling, David Jay, Steve Lee, Bruce Montgomery, Chrissie Muir, Jim Richman and Director, Dave King were in the studio on Saturday for a special broadcast looking back over the last five years and also to cut a special Birthday cake. This was followed by an outside broadcast of Neil Munday’s regular Saturday show from Langshott Primary School Summer Fair where he was joined by the fleet-footed Steve Lee, Tess Lewsey and Susy Programme Director and presenter Geoff Rogers.

Cricket Round Up: 12th July 2017

This week’s roundup brings more good news for Horley; nine wickets in the weekend for Outwood’s Matt Norman plus a hundred for Ashley Middleton; records tumble to Newdigate centurions Charlie Major and Matt Clarke, plus a league cup semi final for the club; but forgettable weekends for the Llamas, and for Merstham, where skipper Nav Saeed stands down.
