Houses in Broadfield damaged by fire

Fire broke out in Broadfield yesterday.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were called to a block of four attached houses in Chevening Close just before half-past three in the morning.

It is believed the fire started in the first floor and roof of one property, spreading to the adjacent property.

The roofs of both houses were completely destroyed and 75% of the remaining property was damaged by fire, heat and smoke.

The other two properties attached were undamaged.
