Libraries in Surrey hoping to set reading records this summer

Libraries in Surrey are asking for your help.

As part of the 2015 Summer Reading Challenge to inspire children to read, the library service is hoping to set a Guinness World Records title.

All you need to do is turn up to a library in Surrey and make a pledge to encourage and assist children to read over the summer.

People can choose from three pledges:

Children pledge to visit the library and read over the summer

Young volunteers encourage children to complete the challenge and read over the summer

Adults encourage people they know to read with children this summer

100,000 pledges are required to set the record between 10th and 13th July.
