This coming Monday sees the start of Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week.

Members of Surrey Police, borough councils, Surrey County Council and housing providers will work together in an attempt to ensure issues affecting victims are dealt with.

The main aim is to help the perpetrators understand the impact of their actions on others and if mediation does not solve the issues then culprits could find themselves handed warning letters, fixed penalty notices and even prosecution.

During the week events will be taking place throughout Surrey ranging from a drop-in surgery in Dorking to active patrols in Redhill town centre and the launch of a youth engagement project.

Mole Valley

Monday, 18 July: The Safer Neighbourhood Team will carry out dedicated patrols in areas where ASB has previously been reported

Tuesday, 19 July 1pm – 3pm: Drop in Surgery at Mole Valley District Council offices in Dorking

Thursday, 7pm – 9pm: Live Facebook Q&A session www.facebook.com/MoleValleyPolice.

Reigate & Banstead

Throughout the week: Joint patrols with the JET team and the Raven Housing Trust in Redhill town centre and the Cromwell estate. The Safer Neighbourhood team will be linking in with the YMCA youth outreach programme to start an engagement project.

Tandridge

Throughout the week: Tackling anti-social behaviour issues in Caterham Hill, Warlingham and Smallfield with patrols from the Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Team.
