Government to deciede if Southern Rail has breached operating rules

It’s going to be decided next week if Southern Rail has breached it’s operating rules by cancelling too many trains.

Owner Govia Thameslink Railway says the 10 thousand cancellations between the end of April and late July were down to unofficial industrial action.

The company could face serious penalties if it’s found a lot of the disruption is due to poor management by The Department of Transport.
