A man who attacked two Sussex Police officers has been sentenced to life at Hove Crown Court for various offences.  

Thirty four year old Jamshid Piruz who is unemployed and of no fixed address, was detained and arrested after attacking the two police officers in Stagelands in Langley Green a year ago.  Piruz was subsequently charged with burglary, affray, and two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.

He pleaded guilty to these charges in November and was sentenced on Friday.
